The utterly gorgeous Margot Robbie also went for a short look this year, showing off an angular blonde on the red carpet. This sleek style was cut bluntly in a side part and completed with a straightened finish all over. The simple, yet effective do was also teamed with dewy skin and a fierce red lip for extra impact against her black dress. 

  

Lily Collins

Lily Collins may not have attended the actual awards ceremony this year but she most definitely stole the show at the Vanity Fair after party. The 26-year-old actress decided to go for the chop and her short, pixie crop made a debut at the event. Despite being a typically dramatic do, the overall look complimented her stunning, high-collared gown perfectly on the night. 

Dakota Johnson

Fifty Shades of Grey star, Dakota Johnson managed to wow the crowd with her first Oscars appearance and her overall look did not disappoint. Hairstylist Mark Townsend created this effortlessly chic style by loosely styling a delicate fringe, along with adding slight lift at the top for increased volume. The ponytail itself also demonstrated light waves for a sophisticated yet relaxed do, perfectly paired with her Saint Laurent gown.

Reese Witherspoon

We’re so in love with Reese Witherspoon’s shiny and chic look at the Academy Awards! Styled into a centre part and soft bouncy curls, this was the perfect hairstyle to flaunt those jaw-dropping cheekbones and flawless skin. Paired with a floor-length, Tom Ford monochrome dress, this is a look definitely set to stop and turn heads.
